Voice Over Expert Penny Abshire
Penny Abshire, A.S.G. is a born performer, a professional speaker, a creative copy-writer, a classically trained pianist… and a former professional belly dancer. She is also a skilled paralegal and office manager. But her true passion is performing as a voice-actor. In the mid 1990’s, Penny was working as a paralegal and presenting Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus seminars, having been personally trained by John Gray. Then she discovered voiceover! Penny was already a highly skilled performer and speaker, and this new area opened up many new doors and literally changed her life.
After a few short years of studying the craft of voice-acting, she left her job as a paralegal to assist James Alburger in the daily operation of The Commercial Clinic. She now co-teaches The Art of Voice Acting workshops and seminars, and is the Creative Director a Producer/Director for The Commercial Clinic. Together James Alburger and Penny Abshire co-write and produce humorous dialog commercials and other projects for audio CD, radio, and TV, as well as work as voice talent for radio, TV and audio book projects.

David Bourgeois has worked in professional music and audio production for more than 25 years. Compositions and audio post-production for film, television, advertising and multi-media are all part of David’s resume. As the CEO of White Lake Music & Post, David produces music, audio and voice over content for clients including Discovery Networks, TLC, HGTV and the WE Network as well as numerous other regional and local clients. David recently completed the original music score for The Last Round, an independent feature starring former X Files Smoking Man William B. Davis.
Elaine Clark began her voice-over career in the early 1980s. She is an award winning actor, director, producer, playwright and the author of the quintessential voice-over book, There's Money Where Your Mouth Is. Her first voice-over job was for Wendy’s “guess how many corners to a square hamburger” campaign. Since then Ms. Clark has voiced hundreds of commercials including Clorox, TiVo, Macy’s, Chevron, PineSol, PG&E, California Milk Advisory Board, Quaker Chewy Granola Bars, Manwich, Fuller-O’Brien Paint, World Savings, Wheel Works, Amazon.com, Round Table Pizza, Tap Plastics, Party America, and promos for ABC. A few of her narration clients include Microsoft, Genentech, Oracle, WalMart, North Face, Kaiser Permanente, Better Homes Realty, NIC, Providian, Fujitsu, and L’Oreal.
Rodney Saulsberry is the author of the best sellers, You Can Bank on Your Voice and Step up to the Mic. The voice of Twix Candy Bars, Toyota Avalon and the Zatarain’s Jazzman, is also in demand worldwide for his voice-over coaching and commercial workshops. For more than two decades the Detroit native and University of Michigan graduate has given voice to many movie trailers such as, Finding Forrester, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Dumb and Dumberer, The Best Man, and Friday After Next. As an announcer, he has worked on the NAACP Image Awards and the Essence Awards television specials. Saulsberry, the voice of Joe Robbie Robertson on the cartoon series Spider-Man, resides in Agoura, California.
