Gottlieb covers all the aspects of the voiceover trade for her clients: where to begin, how to get established, what it takes to make it and how to stay in the game. Gottlieb’s clients include voiceover talent and talent agencies. For individual clients, her services include: general career counseling, marketing materials consultation, voiceover reel production feedback and guidance, techniques for networking within the industry and insider information about talent agencies specializing in voiceovers. Additionally, she works with talent on producing their promotional reels. Gottlieb advises talent agencies on how to maintain their position within the industry by increasing visibility, acquiring new talent and expanding their client base.

Gottlieb spent over a decade in the New York offices of top talent agencies representing the best artists in the business as well as celebrity actors with voiceover careers – James Earl Jones, Jason Alexander, Stockard Channing, Philip Bosco, Edward Herrmann, Nathan Lane, John Goodman, Julianna Margulies and Blythe Danner. She provided talent to top broadcasting companies including ABC, CBS, NBC, MTV, VH-1, The Discovery Channel, USA Network, TNT and Fox, among others.

During her years as an agent, Gottlieb supplied voiceover talent for such high profile TV programs as ABC-TV’s “Primetime Live” and “20/20 Downtown,” the “MTV Video Music Awards,” series and specials on VH-1, HBO’s “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel” and she represented the signature announcers for NBC-TV’s “Dateline,” “Good Morning America,” ABC-TV’s “World News Tonight with Peter Jennings,” “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “The Early Show” on CBS-TV. She supplied narrators for numerous documentaries on The Discovery Channel and National Geographic Channel and she worked extensively booking talent for commercials and audio books.

At prestigious Don Buchwald and Associates she was an agent in the commercial/voiceover department. She started and expanded the voice over division at HWA Talent Representatives. At TRH Talent Representatives she was head of the commercial department and she ran the promo department at SEM&M (Schiffman, Ekman, Morrison and Marx).

In the fall 2005, Gottlieb joined the faculty at New York University where she teaches an in-depth course entitled, “The Business of Voiceover.” She has been a frequent lecturer at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and Syracuse University.

Connie TerwilligerConnie Terwilliger is one of the most well known names on the Internet when it comes to female voice talent. She’s been online with an Internet presence since 1996. Connie did her first official voiceover work on air at KCOE-FM while in college in Cedar Rapids Iowa in 1972. After getting her Masters in Radio and TV at Indiana University, she started a long career juggling many hats – Producer, Writer, On and Off-camera talent. Over the past several years Connie has been able to “retire” as a Producer and Writer and concentrate on full-time voice work for clients around the world out of her home studio and the studios in San Diego and Orange County. She teaches one class a semester - Acting for Radio/Voiceovers - at San Diego City College.

Her session on Self-Evaluation presented at VOICE 2007 was well received and has led to invitations to speak at media performance schools across the country. She is also the immediate past President of Media Communications Association-International – MCA-I, a networking and professional development group for media communicators that she joined back when she was producing.

Buffalo, NY native Dan Lenard has been a radio personality, an insurance sales consultant, a high school Media and Social Studies teacher and a stay-at-home dad. He earned his BA in Broadcasting from Buffalo State College in 1980, a New York State teaching certificate from Buff State in 1997 and then in 2002, an MA in Creative Studies from again, his hometown Alma Mater.

Now working from his home based, digital studio, Dan produces high quality audio narration in many genres. Specializing in Tutorial, e-Learning and Documentary narration, Dan also voices non-fiction, business oriented books as well as a wide cast of unique animation characters. Dan uses his vast life experiences to bring his clients just what they need; a knowledgeable voice that conveys confidence, warmth, intelligence and humor.

His years in radio and television production made his transition to his home built and based studio, seamless. His experience as a teacher and lecturer on many subjects allows him to convey the daily, nitty gritty of a home-based studio voice over business to the many newcomers in the industry with his dry sense of humor and a commitment to the American entrepreneurial spirit.
